"Practicing integrated medicine, western and eastern together, the patient gets the best result"
After receiving my undergraduate degree from UNH. With a BS in Animal Science/ Preveterinary Medicine I attended Cornell and completed my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1984. I have practiced in the Lake Sunapee area for most of my career.
In 2010, after 27 years of western practice I started my training in traditional Chinese veterinary medicine at the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida. I am certified in veterinary acupuncture and Chinese veterinary food therapy. I have pursued advanced study at the Chi Institute in Advanced Acupuncture Techniques, Chinese Veterinary Herbal Medicine ,Tui-na , Pallitive and End of Life Care, and Integrative Pain Management for Small Animals.
My interest in traditional Chinese veterinary medicine grew from the realization that many diseases, especially chronic, degenerative and geriatric diseases, are not optimally addressed from a western approach. Chinese medicine can often a safer, more effective modality of treatment without the potential side effects of western medications.
My extensive background in western veterinary practice affords me the understanding of how to best integrate western and eastern medicine. I am excited to offer traditional Chinese medicine to both dogs and cats with the goal of optimizing their quality of life at every age.
I look forward to working with you and your veterinarian to foster an integrative approach to your pet’s health needs.
